Ang Li is a multimedia journalist based in New York City and currently tells stories through video for The New York Times. She joined The Times after a year and a half at The Wall Street Journal, where she produced breaking news videos and reported on people-meet-policy stories.
Prior to WSJ, she spent two and a half years at Time magazine, where she produced videos and reported on immigration, youth and culture.
Before that, she rose to the challenge revamping video coverage at the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer. In the Georgian summer heat, she practiced shoe-leather reporting. She also filmed and produced multimedia stories as a one-woman band.
When not chasing stories or traveling solo, Ang loves sampling local cuisines and getting in her power naps. If you have a story for her to cover, reach her at ang.li@nytimes.com.
